Last Event
On Saturday, May 17th, 2025, over 200 volunteers from the New York & Northern New Jersey Metropolitan area turned out to care for and entertain over 200 children and adults with disabilities (and their siblings) while their parents were blessed with an evening out on the town including a complimentary dinner for two.
Activities for our guests included music, games, pony rides, hot-air balloon rides, canvas painting, hayrides, bounce house, carnival games, video game truck, a fire truck and numerous other activities hosted by Resurgent Church, 3545 Route 206, Far Hills, NJ. Before and after dinner our guests were treated to ice cream, cotton candy and popcorn while they took in a double feature on the big screen: 'Mufasa' and 'Moana 2'. Over 30 of the 90+ families were ‘first timers’ while the rest were returning guests from our events over the last fifteen years.
Local area restaurants all pitched in toward treating the parents to a complimentary dinner at the restaurant of their choice. Including:

... and numerous other area junior high and high schools were among the many volunteers who teamed up with members of Resurgent Church to spend quality one-on-one time with our guests. Generous donations from members of our community helped cover all the evening’s expenses.
The parents were all smiles as they returned from their ‘date night’ to find their children having a great time – some just didn’t want to leave! Volunteers marveled at what an incredible blessing it was to spend quality time with these wonderful children. Thank you notes abounded after the latest events (see testimonials).
